Here's a couple of places to start. On the internet we have this magical search tool called Google in which you type in a request for something and it goes out like a good little robot and finds hunderds of selections for you to look through for what ever it is you want. That's how I found these links and might I suggest that if you find nothing you need in them to try Google for yourself.. ...

get a copy of the 'ct magazine from Germany, December 08 issue is 25-year anniversary, has a DVD loaded with lots of software, including our PD Particles 1 which you can update to 1.1 at http://www.dogwaffle.info/pdp/

The magazine sells for a bit over 3 euros (4 bucks!)

Also play in the material editor with that texture try changing it to world or object etc I find some textures look better when you mess around with them.

the trouble with most textures is that they turn out to be jpgs wich i have to use the texture editor for. i dont have the skill to do that. so here goes many hours of experimenting. but then thats why im doing this i guess

dyret ( ) posted Sun, 16 November 2008 at 3:05 AM

and for google... i knew that! but whan you dont know what exactly to search for google can be a frustrating experience. especialy for those of us who dont have english as our native language

RodsArt ( ) posted Sun, 16 November 2008 at 5:32 AM

*especialy for those of us who dont have english as our native language

*You could have fooled me, Your English is fine, even better than some of us that use it as our primary......(grin)

If you need help in the texture editor don't be afraid to ask.

You'll have to excuse my seeming impatience with requests for easily googlable things as I seem to answer this query quite a few times a day in the various forums I attend. I agree w ICM re: your english...even your made up band name follows proper convention.
With searches on the internet I find that if I type what I'm looking for say,'dirt' into the search dialogue, then when my page of items comes up click on the word 'images' at the top of the page it turns to a graphic rather than verbal/word page and it is really quite easy to see and sample pics to find what you seek.
You have quite a few sources now provided so you should be in good shape, but remember my technique for your next search.. ...

Sorry bobbystahr. I have no idea what you mean by for instance my english following propper convention. what seems easy to you might not be so easy. having grown up in a country where people generaly speak and write very good english sometimes make us seem like we don't need any help when it comes to understand technical terms in english. and as I said. it's not finding the textures wich is hard. its making them usefull in bryce.

dyet

do you know how to use a jpeg image as a texture?   Is that the problem you are having?
If that is the problem the procedure is simple.  Just reply and someone will guide you here.

**Ahhhh the DTE.  Where time itself stands still and numbness paralyzes the brain.    Good times..........good times.

I thought I would throw out that tiling texture.  It had nothing to do with the DTE.
