Is there anyway to convert .mc6 materials so that they'll work in P5?

Sure.  Change the line

mtlCollection

to

figure

and then rename the file to PZ2.  It will then be a MAT pose.

Note that you will also need to move them to a folder somewhere in Runtime:Libraries:Pose.

Only if they are parented to a figure.
