Unfortunately, it has to be understood that ICM is resigning as Forum Moderator for reasons of health and work-related issues. But you can expect him to lurk in the background.

Rod has been one of the hardest working members of the Renderosity Team and his resignation will leave a huge gap that will be difficult to fill.

I would personally like to offer my thanks to him for the chance to work as a Coordinator here and the faith he put in me as a team member and I sincerely hope that he will keep posting his amazing art here on The Rend from time to time.

As with other members who have met with troubled times this year I hope members will pass on their best wishes to Rod and his family.

Thank you.

Take some time out, and when ready, come back and take the helm again.

If the post was too stressful, I can understand, I moderated a board some time ago for many years... it is a thankless job... so I say thanks for all you've done so far mate.

ICM, there is bad news that you have to resign as Forum Moderator, but health, work, and family ("real life" in a word) must go first.

Thanks for your work here trying to moderate us (the bryce bunch). I hope that you're not quiting with a bad feeling due to the recent thread concerning the Bryce Gallery 2009. You have begun a very passioned but interesting debate for the "bryce lovers", and you knows what hapened when passion is involved ... someone may hurt you :-)

Best wishes (hope you could understand my spanglish).

I would like to say that a mod can be replaced but a great talent like ICM can never be surpassed ICM will be missed as a mod but not as our friend & fellow brycer. if there's anything i can do to help out here let me know.

Lown ( ) posted Tue, 18 November 2008 at 4:16 PM

Aww man, that really sucks!! Cheers for all you´ve done Rod, you will be sorely missed as mod!!

Lown ( ) posted Tue, 18 November 2008 at 4:48 PM

Aww man, this really sucks!!! When AS left as mod i was thinkng no one could replace him, ICM fit into those shoes like they were made for him! You will be SORELY missed Rod ( I mean who ELSE could keep Dhama in his place:biggrin:!!)

Best wishes and nothing but good karma for you Rod, hope your situation improves soon and hope you continue posting work here (in whatever gallery).

And to those who "threatened" to not post anymore because the proposed changes would (somehow) suppress your artistic freedom blah,blah,blah......er.....bye,bye then!!!

Rod really turned this Forum around for which I'm very thankful. I truly wish him well - literally!

One word, "bummer"

More than one word. "a public and heartfelt thank you.  Forgive me if I added any to your stress.  Your Bryce work and art in general is among the top 10 in all R'osity.  Your love for the folks in this forum was never appreciated enough"

As far as I'm concerned, this door is always open.

Rod,
You have been a phenominal Mod!
I truly hope that your Real Life works itself out and that things get better real soon. I hate to see you have to step down, but taking care of you and yours in the real world must come first.
HUGS

It takes a Special Person to do what ICM has done withe Bryce Forums since he took over, and will be missed having him in that position.  The feelings are the same with AS stepped down from that position.

It is a thankless job and does not pay very well, which is why it takes a Special Person who is pattionate and dedicated to the art and the software.

I'm sure we will ICM around with new artwork submissions here and there.

RodsArt ( ) posted Wed, 19 November 2008 at 6:15 PM

I would like to thank you all for the praise.

Even though I made a lot of mechanical changes to the forum, you should all give yourself a note of thanks for keeping this forum alive in lieu of much of the downside of this great application. Even with my being absent  from here, the staff here will still be able to carry on with the same success as long as there is a supportive bunch like you. Participation is the key, and not just for those of you in the regular daily postings here, but many of you in the background  that took the time and effort to share your thoughts. The more energy expended, the better the chances of keeping Bryce alive and possibly even expanding on it. Ask Bobby about lost programs that slip into the backdrop.

My plan for the galleries wasn't getting the reception I had hoped for and with the extra time it would have taken to iron out all the wrinkles, I had no choice but to abandon it. If the present team has the inclination and and fortitude to weather that project through, my hats off to them.
I'm not going to banter with anyone on this issue either.

I'll be buttoning up a few loose ends here before I hand in the Keys, leaving a bunch of instructions for the operations manual of this forum.

On a personal note:
Without going into too much detail, the base reason for my departure is a proactive attempt to handle health and financial issues. A lot has happened in the past few years for me, so in order to stay on top of everything, I've got to streamline my efforts to maintain everything I hold dear.

Thanks Friends
