As the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy said...

DON'T PANIC!

We've not gone bust, been hacked, given up or been abducated by aliens:)

We're well aware of the problem (which is sadly outside of our control) our hosting company is migrating everyones servers over to their new platform. As with all these things it'll be a few days before things are back to normal.

So please accept our apologies - if you do get in and expereince any problems IM me in here or mail us via our personal sites:

Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.

The hosting company we use for Vanishing Point (or rather, the one we used to use) is called EasyCGI.
They said that they would be migrating all their sites to new servers between September and October. But, it's the middle of November and they're only now moving Vanishing Point. And, as a result, all kinds of errors are being created.

The most severe error is that the site pages can't connect to the database to display products or images or free stuff.
I've contacted them numerous times, but all they keep saying is "A tech has been assigned and we'll get back to you in 24-48 hours". In other words, they may not even get around to looking at the issue for 2 days.

So, we'll be moving to a new hosting company over the weekend. In the meantime, all of our products are still available for sale at the usual places. ;)

When a company says something like that "we'll get back to you" a good reply is "I don't know what you really said, but what I heard was switch companies."

You did the right thing firing these morons.

Vanishing Point is back up!!!

Just to let everyone know, Vanishing Point is back up. The pages have been moved over to GoDaddy, our new hosting company, and we're in the process of making sure everything works the same as before. We've caught the big errors that occur when switching providers, such as serving pages and database connections, but there may be some smaller glitches here and there.

Also, it will still be a little while until all the product zip files are back up and available for downloading. So, please be patient with us. ๐Ÿ˜‰

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please direct any complaints to our old hosting company, EasyCGI.
(On a side note, it's now been 3 days since VP went down and no one at EasyCGI has updated our "trouble ticket" about when or if they'll get around to fixing the issues. But, that's academic now since the pages are no longer served from them.)
