Is anyone here using RDNA's Render studio?   How do you like it? Any tips or tricks on how to use it?

Lordy, yes!  I have the one for Vue and the one for Poser.  I started out just using the basic backdrop and the light presets and have gone on to playing with the AO editor, etc.  Even just using the pre-made stuff made such a difference for a dummy like me.  :)

I use the Poser version every single day.

A really good value for the money i spent on it.

Sounds like I better install and try it then!
I didn't even notice there was a Vue version.
After so much trying and trying  I feel defeated trying to get good render results in poser - by hand.
I'm trying to get somewhere in cararra again.... Too much to learn. Gimmie presets, lots and lots of presets!!!  LOL

I like it also, I have both Poser and Vue, but use Poser more often, I really want to get the Monochrome asap.  Sharen

 I love the Poser version.  I've used it on every image for the past couple months, and I have to say, it's helped me understand Poser's lighting a LOT more.

Hey Connie.. I use Poser... I mean.. basic Poser.. not studio setups or anything.. maybe I should try this thing to improve my images!!! 

I have the Vue version, as everyone says, it's brilliant and easy to use!

Interesting. I saw it in their newsletters, but never bothered to work out what it actually was. Maybe I should a) pay more attention and b) check it out. :) 

It doesn't actually change the lights, and it doesn't change the settings....it just gives you a MUCH better understanding and a lot more ease of use than not understanding what you're doing.  It does come with some pretty nice presets, though.   

I use the render studio serie both in POser and Vue  I like it

I couldn't get it to work properly, wouldn't render any shadows & everything was ultra bright, so I gave up & haven't got back to it.

I usually make my own lightsets, but I´m planning to buy Render studio for Poser.
A question though:
The presets, do they contain IBL lights with a lot of depth map shadows?

• All other IBL lightset products at rdna, contains that.
  Personally, I prefer raytrace instead of depth map.
  Shorter render sessions...so to speak.

Improve on your images?  :blink: Impossible. You've achieved Poser Perfection.

I think those of us, like me, whom are left footed mortals with lighting setups need crutches! LOL  Untill after I make few thousand renders, deconstruct how a good setup was done and learn. 

Honeyyyy, honeuyyyy, wake up, I need a new computer for Christmas so I can make more renderings. No gold earings or any of that girly jewelry stuff.  Maybe I should write a letter to Santa, just to cover my basis. :tt2:

Yes, yes, I know, I need to develop my own style, and not use shortcuts....  Ya had to bring it up, didn't ya :tt2:   LOL

Rofocale, from what I can see in my poser library they do have "Shadow IBLs" in there. I haven't really played around with Render Studio that much as I don't really have a full understanding of what all the lights do. I know it comes with a really good manual, but since it's supposed to mimick an photography's studio lighting, Im kinda hazy as to what they all do.

Their preset lights have raytraced shadows, but that's easily changed.  The light with shadows is usually a Key light (it will have Key in the title).  I prefer the raytraced shadows, but I know some prefer depth mapped as well.  Like I said, it's just a matter of changing them in the properties.  You can even save them back in the library as the depth mapped light.

lol, yeah...I hate waiting and waiting and waiting and WAITING for depth mapped shadows to populate.  

I have both versions too but mainly use the Poser version since that program is usually opened all of the time anyway. I love it!

Yes, that is one of the most useful parts. It makes tweaking lights a lot easier when you can change the intensities all in one place.

This is a VERY useful lighting utility, You WILL NOT be disappointed! 
Almost my whole gallery utilizes RSP lighting for a base , then adjust an tweak until you get the results you want...It does not do the work for you , yet gives a good base setting for modifications.

They did a very nice job with this package, and the add-ons are wonderful too!
