Anyone point me to a tut to get the classic drop of liquid in "milk" effect in C6

For a still image or an animation?

DAZ has a Plugin for Carrara that will do that and many other things.

The shader looks pretty cool.
I need to animate it
I've got the partical system to a pont where I can animate a jet of liquid with the droplets breaking off pretty close to real life but I want a drop that imapacts a still body of liquid.

Was I wronge in thinking it is animatable?
It said on the drip

  • Drip -
  • Impacts, bump channel applications
  • Models a single impact ring mdash; can have multiple concentric rings
  • Optional secondary impact

I am new to all this, but I really thought the impact was a motion and thereby is animatable, if I was wrong My Appologies. I myself want to get that pack for some of the other things in it, but with Christmas upon us it will have to wait.

At the bottom of the description it says it's for Carrara 5. Plugins are version specific due to the SDK. Correct me if I'm wrong Mark.

That is true for the DAZ description. I don't know if their product line is the most current one. If you go to Shoestring directly (http://www.des-web.net/html/download.html), there is a v6 version.

From what I understand (the author told me this) is you can just download the latest and use the same serial number.  However just go to his site directly and ask.  I am hoping he releases a 7 when the SDK's are released.  I have purchased it but I haven't gotten around to installing it yet.

His site is http://www.des-web.net/html/shoestring_shaders.html  real nice guy.

He also has some samples  and other things on his site.  Hopefully he reads this and can post.

Thanks bwtr for that link too.
