Hi, I am not sure I have installed crossdresser the right way and the reason I feel this way is when I go to the set up and start selecting runtimes to add to the app every runtime I add with exception of the main Poser 7 runtime fails to work. When I select any of my external runtimes folder on my C: drive all I get is this error (See image).

So I am guessing that the Runtimes are not getting added because I can't convert anything or I am told XD can't find the .obj file for what I want to convert. Does XD not like external Runtime folders?

I have installed XD, and the figure licenses but is there something I am missing?

Thank you!

I use XD from an external so it definitely can be done. Make sure to add the runtime before trying to convert your item.

Options--------->Settings-------->F:(or whatever drive your external is on) Browse to the folder you wish to add. Highlight runtime. Add-------->Ok.

This is a must. I always get an "Invalid Filename" message each time I go to do this but it still allows me to add my runtime.

Ditto.  Do make your runtime selection first, otherwise it will flag the error.

I do  select my runtimes before I try to convert an item and I still get the error and still XD needs for me to find the .obj files. It seems like it runs a conversion but the !convert folder in the geo and Character folders is empty.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled this program 3 times is there a patch I maybe missing? Something I mean a monkey can install this program but something isn't right. The only way I can convert anything is to move out of the external runtime in my C: drive, no other drive, I have no external drives, and move it to the main Poser 7 runtime folder.

There is a version 3.0.1 Patch

Just wondering, does this program do a better job then WW2?  Sharen

Okay I got it working cool!  Sharen, I like the program it seems to do a good job of converting clothes. I don't have WW2 so I can't say if CrossDresser is any better.

How'd you get it to work?

Re-install and then doing what I did before, follow the directions. It converted a V3 bra and panty set to V4.

@SAMS3D**: ** XD does a very decent job, especially if you are looking to convert gloves between models.  WW2 does not have that feature as yet.

It just seems to me that I have a terrible time with WW2, it is probably user error, but seems to get really weird verticies, and broken verticies when I am converting.

I've tried it and can't figure it out. So I gave up.

Not just you :(  I find myself constantly going back to Version 1 because I just can't grasp version 2 at all. I do keep going back and trying, but I rarely succeed in getting anything converted with it.

Another point , XD does not like it in program folder, it needs to be installed in the Media folder ( on XP) this may be wrong, but i spent weeks trying to get it to work from programs and couldn't. i could not even get the figure licences installed, until i put it in the Media folder. worked fine ever since.

Media folder?

I installed directly into Programs files and run it from the shortcut placed onto my desktop.
