The thing is less than 48 hours old... I'm really disliking Hewlett Packard now. I had already deleted the driver software, and then all it probably needed was a computer restart, but still... I can't find the driver cd, which is my own fault, but they don't even carry its drivers on their site, and their customer support consists of an "Ask Jeeves" search engine... arg/ Ry is angry, (o_O)<^>

actually, it's that Ask Jeeves guy that pisses me off. He only finds porn sites, which is fine once in awhile...

48 hours?!? Maybe you could try having it replaced. That should be covered by the warranty.

What dype do you have. I also own a HP. It's the 3200C. It also has a power supply problem. Probably you MAY need to replace the poser supply. OR try this trick. Go to the Hewlett Packard Website and resoenload a patch for the powersupply. If that does not work try this. But hear me out it really works. " Unplug the scanner wait 30 seconds and plut it back in. Do this about 10 times and that should do it." Check your cable connections also. Finally let me know if you own a 3200C and if you want me to resend you the driver. By the way reloading the scanner software doew NOT seem to work. Bsteph

Digital Camera vs Normal Camera - which is best ? LOLOLOL!!! Sorry.....hope u get it running soon. I borrowed one recently to scan some photo's but my Epson printer didn't like it at all. So, disconnected it, uninstalled it and my printer STILL won't tell me how much ink is left in the cartridges.....bummer..... looks like I've got to re-install the printer software now!

I've finally concluded its a faulty usb port system. My usb ports are USB 1.0, and there were a few glitches with them (thus, USB 2.0 came out). All it prolly woulda take is a restart, but wha ev. 2 new pics in the gallery thanks to my "ingenuity (complementing one's self gives me a warm feeling inside)". auu revoir. ry ps: ScanJet 2100C. My last HP scanner had a small prob once in awhile. I'd unplug it, then plug it back in in 10 minutes, and it'd work. HP power supplies are cruddy.
