Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
"Shark Attack" over at daz. Yes I know and I will most likely purchase this item (it looks like a very high quality product indeed) for myself as an xmas gift, but what I am really looking for is the Great White Shark itself.

there is a great white shark at daz.. doesn't look at good as Digital I's stuff to me though.
And it;'s an expansion for the old daz shark, released a number of years ago...

Yup. That's just the thing, it looks very good but not great. That's the thing that has kept me from actually buying it. Vicky4 looks very lovely and realistic, so I am hoping to see the same quality for animal models as well. Digital I is incredibly talented and makes the finest shark models in the poserdom that look like actual sharks (judging from the promos and how those sharks are posed. Very natural.), but I'm still looking for the great white itself. It's bizarre that the "king of sharks" is still missing. The Great One itself is missing! I have a few freebies that look kinda nice but not realistic. Hopefully Digital I will make a Great White Model for Poser and DazStudio. But in the mean time I am still looking.

Well, looks like you can buy both his shark packs for the daz shark, and the great white expansion. Odds are, Daz won;t carry another product that competes with it's own as well, and since digital I just released his sharks this last summer, daz has picked up what? 6 new shark figures, and odds are they consider that market tapped out for the near future.
Why not PM Digital I over at Daz? odds are, hew could do a great whit morph and texture for one of us current new sharks, and since it would be an expansion, that might be supported by daz?

Quote - Perhaps a millenium shark, everything from those small home aquerium sharks through to a Megladon?
I'm sure people would buy it.
There is an aquerium shark? Now I am facing a serious moral dilemma: To aquire an aqueriem shark and to cage a creature that I find fascinating for my own pleasure, or to buy a cat that I can possible even interact with. The Doctor Evil in Me likes the idea of having the Great White in my swimming pool. That oughtta energize the party. "Don't swim in the pool. Shark may bite!" "Swim at your own risk." and then the traditional friday "Shark swimmingpool party". I would call the shark "Herbert" or "Nancy" to ease the tensions. "Herbert may bite but he means well".
"You have a Ferrari? Big deal. Check out the huge whiteshark in my swimmingpool."
Anyway what you suggested is actually a pretty good idea. The basic shape of the shark is pretty similliar to all sub-species (with the exception of Hammerhead and the Whaleshark). Daz has mil dogs and cats so why not mil-shark! :D

Well...For some bizarre reason I have allways been fascinated with the great white shark. Perhaps it's because I live in Scandinavia and we don't have sharks here. (Just your ordinary regular predatory fish) Or perhaps it is because there is something mystical about sharks. They can never stop moving and they are immune to cancer. Incredibly interesting. The "fierce man killer" that we have hated for so long, may actually have the secret cure for a horrible disease.
I watch all the shark documentaries that are on the telly and my dream is to actually see the great white with my own eyes. Bizarre and possibly deadly obsession, I know. But anyway, what is the "best" Great White Shark model for poser? Any recommendations?
Thank you.
