Subject: Area light RGB led animation

Cherryman ( ) posted Sun, 14 December 2008 at 5:45 AM · edited Tue, 04 February 2025 at 8:59 AM

I try to simulate a RGB LED

Now i find a strange thing... With a normal light i can animate the light color, but i can not do this with an area light.

Is this normal? Or is there something i don't see?

Tnx for youre reply, i did a workaround. After some research i concluded that panel lights and area light are not able to animate the colors.
I could be wong...

Anyway the gel suggestion i did not try, if my workaround will not gie the results i will look into that!

Tnx!

Yeah you can make a light white (or whatever, but white takes tints better)  then apply a gel, and make the GEL coloured and/or animated, and that will do it :)
No worries!
