One of my favorite stories from my childhood. I just had to do it when DAZ put out his free book model. I know that the edges of the texture on the Auryn (for those that do not know the story, that is the snake thingy) need to be adjusted, I will work on that later. Just wanted to share the early work - as I think that there are others here that love the movie/story also.

I don't remember them actually telling the colors of the Auryn in the book, just a general description. So, I guess artistic license applies. I could be wrong though.

I went by the movie though the boock wasn't actually clearly shown either in the movie or in my recollection of it 8 )

Nice texture, but "The Never Ending Story - DAZ's book"? That title sounds more like the cronicals of "My Divorce Story" ;-) (sorry, couldn't resist..... GREAT Texture - yes, I love the story too)

In the book the auryn was described as being two snakes that joined together to form an oval, each one biting the other's tail with one dark and one light. The book was described as being bound in coper colored silk with gilded letters. It had the Auryn on the cover and in gold letters said the never ending story. The writing was in green and red In the movie they decided to make the auryn a bit more elaborate as well as the book. If anyone wants to see what the REAL book looked like, let me know and I will do an image of it. I plan on making textures for this book as well. One from the movie and one of the actual book.

I'd like to see it :-) I've seen the movie several times (but I can barely recall the look of the book in it)and I've never even read the book so I would be curious as to what it looks like.
