oh deary me gotta laugh ain't ya as i said all along bill gates don't give a damn from when security services years ago asked to access windows kernel to help track down major pedophiles starting out, microsoft said no, no to bloody every on in the world about bloody any thing..
He has said no to every bloody request over the years, as Microsoft if somit goes wrong and ya phone em, tuff luck son ya should not accepted agreement and installed.
He wont let any other browser check for windows updates as he don't give a rats ass, he has been lucky that every spy service and every criminal organization and every terrorist organization use windows to hack and spy against each other.
Other wise 9/11 would have been into Microsoft headquarters instead, LOOK get a life people bill bloody gates and the US government don't give a stuff about people around the world.
How many deaths and accidents and other filth around the world has microsoft been responsible for with his bastard bloody hacker friendly operating systems and bloody Internet explorer.
Thank you for the objective, unemotional and well reasoned response. Meanwhile, there seems to be some doubt as to the exact nature of the problem, or even its existence (www.betanews.com/article/Microsoft_to_issue_outofcycle_patch_for_the_unknown_exploit/1229465202), but why let that spoil the party. Meanwhile, I'm sure this will cause the millions in Africa and elsewhere who have been helped by Messr. Gates' philanthropy to send the money back in protest.

I think I love you. Serious.
Yeah, I've heard about major websites being hacked before to steal game passwords. For example the miami dolphins website was hacked before the last SB there to steal WoW passwords.
After these passwords are stolen, what usually happens is someone will take all of them items from your account and sell them for real world money. If you convert enough money then you can make up for the cost of a copy of WoW and buy another one.
Anyways, time to reload FF on my machine.
WARK!

Should this be a surprise to anyone? Security risks/exploits & Microsoft go hand in hand & always have done ever since Bill started the company. The only true way to keep anything on a computer of any type safe is to NEVER connect it to the internet, that goes for anything running Windows, OSX or Linux.

Agreed, Bill and Linda Gates have done much for a lot of people especially inner city children.
My intent was let those know who use IE as their main browser the possible problems and to use care to protect their personal info.
Quote - If 99% of the world were using Mac's or *nix, we'd be talking about what a secure operating system Windows is. :)
Whether it was meant as a serious thought or more in the vein of jesting as the smiley might indicate, I have never really understood that attitude. Just because the codebase of one system has design flaws, does not mean that the codebase or every system is equally flawed.
Considering that most of the Internet runs on *nix systems even down to everybody's favourite friend - Google - and to our favourite past-time forum (www.renderosity.com, which runs on CentOS Linux), I find it pretty funny even to suggest that "sure when Macs and Linuxes are popular, they will get as much crap and viruses and malware and whatnots shoved down their throat as Windows does now". People suggesting that *nix systems are full of security holes just waiting to be found by criminals are usually conveniently ignoring how popular *nix systems actually are behind the scenes. Could be just ignorance though.
90% of the users may be using MS Windows as their surfing board, but the waves are mainly provided by Red Hat, Novell, IBM, HP, Sun etc. and none of their OS's is named Windows. Surely controlling the waves should be more important to criminals than affecting single surfers? That is not the case, however. I leave it to the readers to decide why that is.
