Well I said i'd give it a go.... Made the terrain in Bryce and just tweaked it a little to give curling waves in *Metasequoia.* Then used a Bryce mat which I edited till I thought it looked right. Absolutly **no** post work was used, this is straight from the render. So what do you think?

Another view, but in a lower resolution render.....

didn't know you could do that in Metaseqouia, but I've only used it 2-3 times...;) Great work.

Used only the 'magnet' tool.... also, it's the freeware version if others are interested, and very simple to use.

I think the terrain work is awesome. The wave shapes are very  well done, realistic.
I also like the water texture (color, brightnes, etc.), but it looks too "solid" at least with this sky and POV. I can' t imagine how this can be solved using only bryce or any other 3d software.
Are you going to add some foam adding more terrains?

It's very good, but I agree with Juani in that the leading edges of the wave should be thinner and perhaps more foam-like.

Well this is my first attempt LOL, but I agree with the solidity of it. This can be overcome with higher polygon count. My dream here is to build a water/wave terrain with all the foam/spray, and have realistic looking rocks with the waves crashing into them. This will be a seperate terrain but shoiuld fit nicely together.
Thanks for your comments. 😄
