Hehe, just wait until it's late at night in the USA and most are sleeping ... I always find that's the best way to get a popular dl !

nations."

I'm in the same boat..."complete" downloaded and installed, but I can't run it until C3D is back up.
I guess e-on's taking lessons from the "If your product's good and you have no competition, then it's okay to piss off your customers" school of thought.

Okay smallspace,
E-on may have little competition, but they're not a huge corporation, either. People complain about prices going up, well those prices have to pay for the building, employees and all their benefits, equipment, packaging, etc. As a partner in a small business, one that has suffered server problems and lost sales because of it, I can promise that it isn't easy. You don't know why the server crashed under the dl pressure, and I can guarantee that there are several people at e-on software totally stressed out right now. Everyone involved in C3D is losing sales right now, including e-on.

But it is possible to make an educated guess, e.g. maybe a sudden increase in the number of long running threads needed to provide the downloads of Pioneer, coupled with those who've actually manged to download it connecting to register and update the list of paid for items could just account for the meltdown, especially if demand has been large.
Estimating the capacity required for this sort of spike is always going to be tricky, just as not providing enough is very likely to be more costly than slightly too much.
C3D didn't know they'd have DAZ Studio on their hands. It takes a few days for servers to get less traffic for others to download.
I'm not sure why people who already have Vue 7 Infinite are in such a rush to download Pioneer?

I think it was a bit shortsighted to release the free Vue Pioneer at the same time as Complete, anyone any idea how long C3D will be down for? Now 2.00pm here, guess its about 6am over there so will try again in a couple of hours.

Well, they were up just long enough for me to get half way through my registration. Now they're crashed with the error:
Fatal error: Class '(blahblahblah)' not found in /apache/cornucopia3d/(blahblahblah)
I go to their front page and get a similar error
