Yeh! Just bought Vue 7 (Infinite) 2 days ago.

I love it, so I think it may become one of my mains 3D softwares with Poser & Carrara Pro.
I downloaded the extra CD and bought 1 item from Cornucopia & found a free one.

My question is where to put that extra stuff. 
If I go to Users/me/Documents/e-on software/
I have 2 folders :  Vue 7 and Vue 7 Infinite.
In Vue 7 when I click the Load Object button, Vue gives me all the objects in those 2 folders. I don't want to install the new objects in those folders in case I have to update or re-install Vue in the future.

So I thought of creating an extra folder beside the 2 other ones. But how do I say to Vue that they are there, and tell Vue to remember where they are. I don't want to tell it again and again everytime I start Vue.

I know about the button browse files. But I use it, the next time I start Vue it still doesn't remember them.

You should only have one folder in your documents folder structured like this: e-on software/Vue 7 Infinite. This one contains all your objects, atmos, etc. All your content should go in this folder.

Your main programme files should be under C:/program files [64 bit machine] or C:/program files [x86] [32 bit machine]

I'm assuming you're using Vista from your folder structure above!

Only one document folder! That's what I was afraid of. When I'll update Vue, let say from Vue 7 to 8 (in a year ?) will it be able to use the same document folder or will I have to re-install all the stuff I'm going to buy in the new Vue 8 document folder? I guess the folder Vue 7 (non infinite ) I have was created by Vue 7 Pioneer or the Learner Edition I had before. So a different version of Vue.

Ex. In Poser you have your main Runtime at the same level as Poser and you can add as many extra folders for your downloaded stuff at the same level as Poser as well. So if you get a new version or have to re-install Poser for any reason it's painless.

Vue can work in the same way, add your new content to the folder in Mydocs and back up that folder, leave the one in program files alone. If you have to re-install Vue at any time you can delete the new folder it puts into Mydocs and replace it with your back up, I had to do this once with Vue6Infinite when it stopped importing textures from Poser for some odd reason and another time for a reason I don't recall now!

Speaking of reinstalling and collections, I was surprised at a little test I did. I wanted to see if there was a way to transfer my entire Vue 6 collections into Vue 7 without copying files or adding the folders in the visual browser.

Well, I replaced the collections xml file from Vue 7 with the one from Vue 6, and my folders appeared in Vue 7's browser exactly as I had set them up in Vue 6. Of course, I had taken precautions beforehand!
