Subject: Hair suitable for older characters + question.

Hello.

I was hoping someone could help me... I am looking for hair... for poser that would be suitable for renderings of older characters both male and female...

Also I was wondering would it be wrong of me to post a link to a product on this site and ask if anyone could tell me what one of the items used in the promo image is.

Thanks in advance.

Attached Link: Sapphire Fox Hair

Depending on the character, I usually use the Sapphire Fox Hair.  It's got great versatility and a lot of morphs built right in.

Also, yes, you can post a link to a product asking what's in the promo.   The most accurate way of finding out, though, is to contact the vendor using said item in their promo ;)

Good luck on this one! I asked over 3 years ago in the Market Place Wishing Well forum and didn't even get a response. It seems no one is interested in making some true hair for elderly figures.

JenX, Acadia, Thank you both for your comments.

In the past I have found some venders do not bother to answer questions such as what they used in a promo image because it's not going to make them any money.  Anyway the item I'm interested in is the pink dress in the first main promo image for this product...  http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=65174&

That looks like Hongyu's Military Girl in that promo.  I've included the link.

Also, lol, you can say the free hair is at DAZ, Daidalos :P  Geez.

I use texture strenght on hairs.
Set diffuse color to white and decrease tex str. Hairs looks grey or grizzly.
You can either edit the texture in photoshop - converting textures to "grayscale" make them very old. With black and white hair texture you can blend it with original choosing how old your hairs should be ;)
Below is David with "agent hairs". Textures are blended from dark to grey.

I've played with lights but with stable light hairs got old more visible.
