    * Did you make a mistake when typing the domain? (e.g. "ww.mozilla.org" instead of "www.mozilla.org")     Nope! All I did was click on the link from another site page....

    * Are you certain this domain address exists?  Its registration may have expired. Don't know. What do I have to do with its registration? I have a hard time keeping up with my own registration.

    * Are you unable to browse other sites?  Check your network connection and DNS server settings.  I am able to visit Renderosity and other sites... Connection is viable. What about your intelligence? Is it viable?

Open BVE is based on Boso View Express or BVE Trainsim as it is called these days.

You can find the original program on this website http://mackoy.cool.ne.jp/ and there are tonnes of trains and routes available, most of the are bare-bone routes but some rival commercial produced titles.

And i have been playing with it for years.

I downloaded that a while ago. They've even got that software running on hardware setup to look like a real train somewhere in a train museum here in England (at least I think it was BVE).  One particular neat thing about BVE is that it simulates 'sway' which sadly, is something still missing from the newer simulators out there.

There's a lot of BVE on YouTube BTW, it's a cool simulator!

Also, I don't know if Brystie is aware of this, but if he's into trains, there's another Japanese train simulator called RailFan - pretty awesome as well - but I don't know if it's available outside of Japan.

Yup, it does use real footage;  a simple but effective idea.
One thing you can be sure of is they'll never be able to do that with other simulator types - lol
