Hi,

just wondering about this:

In Windows exyplorer right click the Vue 7 infinite.exe

Choose properties and have a look at the Details tab.

It tells me a product name/file version  "Vue 6 infinite" :-)

Cheers

That would certainly explain why when I find a .vue scene file in win explorer and do a right click "open with", I see Vue 6 Infinite listed twice and no sign of Vue7 in the available programs to open it with. I guess thats one of those oops moments lol.

It's extremely coincidental that you mentioned this, ralfakerkhoff. I was considering writing a thread about this... but thought it might seem a little wacko! lol!

Since I have both Vue 6 & 7 installed, when I click a .vue scene, it is opened with Vue 6. :P

I tried to assocate .vue with Vue 7 in the 'open with' list -- but saw the same thing as Flak.

So...lol... the next step was to try to change the association in Folder Options, selecting "VUE File", clicking the "Advanced" button, & editing the "Open" command.

It didn't work... sticking out tongue

I usually fiddle with the registry in these cases, but when it comes to messing about with Vue, I am a total coward. I'm leaving it as it is for now! :P :P

LOL.. wait... it DID work... :P

I mean, changing the association in Folder Options now causes Vue 7 to open the scenes...

It didn't work before because (BIG DUH!!!) -- I was using Vue when I made the change.
After closing Vue, .vue scenes opened in Vue 7. :P

Yeap - depending on which "Vue6 program" I associate the .vue's with,  I can get either 7 or 6 to open the files.
