Subject: A Tree for the forest

I need to find a willow tree for Poser. Not a bilboard. I need a mesh model of a good full Willow Tree.

Ahhh... maybe I can help, mdbruffy... : )

It might be a bit pricey ($29.00) considering you only want one tree; but Xfrog's Weeping Willow at Turbosquid includes three versions of a 3D Willow tree, in the following formats:

3D Studio ( .3ds ) (can import to Poser)
Bryce 4 (.br4, .obp)
Lightwave ( .lwo, .lw, .lws ) (can import to Poser)
Maya 5 ( .ma, .mb )
OBJ ( .obj ) (can import to Poser)
Cinema 4D ( .c4d )
3ds Max ( .max )
Vue 4 vob (.vue)

Just a note that the full DVDs of these trees (Xfrog's Basic package) contain 3 versions of 20 species, for a total of 60 3D models for $149.00. So if you use vegetation a lot, and can afford it, you'll only pay $2.48 for one model with the full package.

Thanks everyone. I purchased The frog willow at Turbosquid. Now if I can just get their dowmload link to work- tried 5 times so far with no luck. sent them an e-mail, so I hope they'll respond soon.

Yes, Garee. It is in the 'Le Village Tree Pack'. I got that long before it went to DAZ and I still love that willow. I probably use it far too much... :)

and that was cheaper, plus its already poser ready as well.

The one at turbosquid is in several formats- encluding obj. It's just a matter of getting it downloaded. I'm still waiting for them to respond.

Sorry you're having problems getting your download, mdbruffy. : ( I feel bad since I pointed you to that product.

On Turbosquid's support page it says they have 24/7 support (via the "chat live with an agent" link and also a toll free number. If you're not in the U.S., the chat link is a better idea. Hope you get this soon!

I finally had to call Turbosquid. They sent me a new link for the file- so everything's ok now. Thanks Angelslinger- and everyone else for your help.
