Will everyone who has the Hulk issue please raise a ticket at e-on, they are trying to suggest it is a Poser problem not a Vue one!!

This flies in the face of the know facts which are:

  1. It doesn't happen in Vue6
  2. It never happened when it was new
  3. It only appeared after the first update.

Please if you have this issue and I know many of you do, raise a ticket, because they are ignoring it.

Ok they've given a better explanation and an undertaking to get it resolved asap, but you still should post a ticket if you have this issue!
The more that do, the more they'll take note and sort it quickly!

I submitted a ticket now too, with the two images I posted in the original thread here.

By the way, you wrote in the ticket that I'm one of e-on testers. Actually, I'm not, at least not yet. ;-)

hallo Gwyn,
I've already lodged a ticket, but as yet no answer. However I've been spending the day trying to isolate the problem, and can confirm what John Canver is saying (pity, I could have saved myself a few hours work by waiting!) lol
If you change the Ambient Colour in Poser for all materials to white, it renders reasonably in Vue.  It takes a couple of minutes in Poser, but changes something that is totally unusable into something usable. Ok, where a light blue Diffuse is originally used, the skin will be somewhat redder in effect, but at first glance looks ok - I'm waiting for a render with better quality, will post it when it's finished.
However the SDK should be fixed!!!

Sorry Rutra, I thought you were one of their Beta testers!!

I don't agree TH, I tested the same figures inside Poser 7 using the Poser 4 render engine and there wasn't any sign of the green tinge!!

It worked fine in Vue7 until the first update too.
Funny thing is some of the V4 textures work ok, but none of my M4 ones work at all so I'm stuffed with using him at the moment unless I use Vue6Infinite instead, which is ok for indoor scenes but I'd prefer to use Vue7 seeing as I paid so bloody much for it!! [LOL].

I tested just now using the Poser4 render engine in Poser6 and also - no green tinge. But this picture was rendered in Vue7 Complete after changing all the materials in Poser to a Diffuse colour of white, and - no green tinge. It's not a great picture, is a bit too red for my taste compared to how the shader should normally render with Diffuse colour of light blue. There IS a problem, I've only suggested a possible partial workaround until the problem is solved - or maybe e-on should back down to using the previous SDK until the new one is fixed....

Rob.

P.S. in my first post i said "ambient" instead of  "diffuse". sorry

TH, I don't know if you saw this comparison that I posted a few days ago in another thread. One image was rendered in the original Vue7Infinite release. The other one was rendered in the latest build. No other change in the image. Try to guess which image was rendered in the latest build... :-)

So, maybe Poser is messing things up, that wouldn't surprise me a bit, but that should be irrelevant from e-on's point of view. Fact is that they had it working correctly and it stopped working correctly. This is a fact and they have to fix it.

Rutra, I couldn't agree more, please re-read my last post.
By the way, yes I saw your comparison in another thread - I started the thread. :-)

  • and to add to your last sentence ... "- and quickly"

E-on says they will work with Smith Micro to work out the problems with the new Poser SDK Vue is now using.  E-on is working towards Poser Pro compatibility with Vue's latest release/update.
