Subject: Could be the end of Vue 7 INF for me!

Darboshanski ( ) posted Wed, 07 January 2009 at 10:11 AM · edited Thu, 23 January 2025 at 6:20 PM

I am really upset with Vue 7 Inf and have been since I got it. So many problems over Vue 6 inf and I still say that 5 minutes for a Vue 6 Inf file I created to load into Vue 7 is a problem regardless what smart arse genius says! So glad it's working fo the rest of you oh did I say I am pissed???  I'll be damned if I uninstall and re-install this software again! 3 times wasn't the charm! If I un-installed it again it will never be re-installed!

So I am hoping that the new update will help iron some of these problems before I fly to E-on corporate and tell them my problems in person which they will not like never piss off and Irish/Scotsman!

So what build are we at now in the update front? What's working? I don't use the poser shade tree inside vue. I need to get this fix I am sick of yelling at my PC LOL!

Thanks!

Maybe next time you should cool down first, before creating a new thread... :-)

Build 35824 works fine for me.

Anyway, if your problem is with one V6 file that you can't load in V7, I don't understand what's the problem. Just finish that specific scene in V6 and start new ones in V7. I mean, why go into a useless war and upset yourself? Just work around it. After all, the installation of V7 doesn't uninstall V6.

What exactly are your problems? Besides duodenum ulcer?

Darboshanski ( ) posted Wed, 07 January 2009 at 12:33 PM

Hehehe sorry I truly apologize it's been very frustrating as of late. I am the artist for a upcoming graphic novel and the man that hired me wants most of the renders for the series done in Vue and I guess I had to high a hopes to continue the series in Vue 7. So again I apologize A LOT!!! I am normally more reserved than this but it just got to me today so I am human like everyone else LOL!

At any rate I installed the latest build and all seems great now. Even the one problem I had which was needing to be connected to the internet in order for Vue 7 to run is now gone. This alone makes me happy as I do not like my rendering machines to be online as I have a dedicated machine for internet use.

Again, forgive my anger and frustrations. Now to go out and hassle my neighbors and play my pipes! LOL!!

Content Advisory! This message contains profanity

Hey pagan...

SMILE!  giggles

glad things sorted for you and boy can i understand your frustration.

Just so you dont get in trouble with the "forum police" in the future, if you feel the need to use "adult" (hahahahaha, i know kids who curse better than navy seals) language... there's an advisory flag for the topics, right below the window where you type in what you need to say.  This is just to give the kiddos who DONT use such language a chance to ignore it ;)  personally... i've said much MUCH worse at my computer.... and other things =D

Brightest blessings, Pagan, and hopefully from here on out it will be smoooooooth sailing with 7inf for you =D

edit... hey... silly forums, says "multiple" advisoreies, yet i only SEE one.
wouldnt ya know, the forums are developing a life of their own ;)

Rarer than a hairy egg and madder than a box of frogs....

Darboshanski ( ) posted Wed, 07 January 2009 at 2:54 PM

Yes, I understood the joke and it was appreciated it lifted my spirit and made me smile bruno!
No I feel the update for Vue 7 Inf pretty much fixed all the issues I was having. Stupid me should have downloaded the new update before now.

Many thanks again!

Nearly always, there's a simple fix, which, of course, we never think of or find, unil after we post.
At least, that's par for the course for me ;)

How do you download these "builds" or updates?  I just downloaded Vue 7 and have to say that my first reaction was similar to pagans....I loaded a scene I'd been working on in Vue 6 and it crashed (out of memory) the moment I tried to render it.  Very frustrating.....

Did you check e-on's site? It's very simple. Just click on "Resources" -> "Software updates".

As a general rule of computer life:

After you install ANY program, app, game, whatever, do NOT start it up.
First, go see if there are any patches and updates and install them! ;)
