Subject: Dificulty making thumbnails that confrom to standard

ScareCrow12 ( ) posted Sat, 10 January 2009 at 10:18 PM · edited Sun, 24 November 2024 at 2:00 AM

Every time I try to post a thumbnail for my image, I keep getting message that says it is not the right size. I make them 200X200 pix but it still rejects. What am I doing wrong?

thumbs must be 100 x 100 up to 200 x 200 and not larger than 15 Kb. If you are sure you are in that range I would pm one of the mods for help.

Quote - it is not the right size.

Reads like it is too big in file size. I have too big thumbnails too every now and then altough they are just 140px in height.
Try saving thumbnail jpegs without anything else than the image. Modern programs often want to save EXIF info and previews into the file as well,

You can send me the thumbnail you are having problems with and I can take a look at it for you if you would like? 'jumpstartme2@renderosity.com'

In photoshop there is a "Save for the web" option that makes smaller jpgs
