Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 09 3:46 am)
Apollo is generally considered to be the best male Poser figure, bar none. And - he's free. While his default shape and features are not particularly attractive, he can be morphed into whatever male you want, using just the built-in morphs.
There's quite a lot of clothing for him too.
Personally, I like James, the Poser 6 male figure. The default face is quite handsome, somewhat rugged. Because it's already quite defined, it is not as morphable as Apollo's face, so variations are limited.
Clothing is also limited - there's the stuff that comes with Poser 6 (and later), and that's about it.
The same goes for Don - the Poser 5 male. Not bad at all, but limited morphing and clothing. An advantage is that Don will take Michael 2 texture maps.
The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
STOP PALESTINIAN CHILD ABUSE!!!! ISLAMIC HATRED OF JEWS
Apollo is the most versatile male, I have to agree!
Also for low poly there is Zenon, he is based on Nea-Posette(head) and Domus-Dork (body)
Also I agree that Don can be really handsome, I've made a long time a morph for him:

While I love Apollo to pieces I have come to love Michael 4 as well. Both have shoulder issues so that's the let down with either of those two. I'd really love the eF males if their shoulders were not so overly defined, you can't even get that crease out of where the deltoid meets the top of the bicep, it's quite ugly and totally unnatural, I know, I was a body builder for a few years and my shoulders NEVER looked like that!! ACK!!
There is also the 3rd generation of DAZ males with quite a bit of support (Michael 3, David 3 and Hiro 3) David's gotten allot of love as have Hiro over the past couple of years from fabulous folks like Adzan
Then there is Vittorio 3 and 4 based off of Victoria 3 and Victoria 4, males from females by pdxjim's. Both figures are really nice and had a bit of a support from Jim, Vittorio 4 received some nice skin texture support from Morris who's realistic textures are really superb. Clothing for both area a bit limited but enough to cloth them and put them in scenes.
Hope that helps a bit

Quote - If you want a really low polygon figure, you can also try Vincent Parker. He comes in at about 13 000 polygons, is compatible with Mimic and the built-in Poser speech capabilities, works with most BVH and Poser pose files, and is compatible with Wardrobe Wizard.
That's an impressive figure you created there, Helgard.

I love low poly, simple is beautiful:) i have tried apollo myself and he is light on the resources. I dont have Vincent parker but i will have a look:)
Wasn't that Tom Cruise lookalike made by Faceoff?
Ima70
it doesnt matter if the model looks less attractive, thats why morphes exist;) Adam 2 has alot of polys. But his face is easy to undo and make a better version i think.
my fave is HIM by sixus1, but no one supports him.........:(
not even philc for ww2
i think he is the best for anything dark gothic

**nevsehir,Have a look on YouTube, there are quite a few videos of Vincent Parker up showing him animated and bending. I can't link to his product page, unfortunately, he is no longer for sale at Rendorosity.
One of the innovations I have for him is advanced controls for the shoulders and neck. When the human arm bends, it is a combination movement of the shoulder and upper arm, so on Vincent there are extra controls on the shoulder that control both the shoulder and upper arm, making the shoulder movements more realistic and minimizing the problem with most Poser shoulder rigging.
The neck also has an extra control that moves the neck and head in a more advanced way. If I told you to turn your head to the side using only your neck, or only your head, it would not be possible, it is a combined movement, but on Poser models that is the way we pose them. This extra rigging gets rid of that problem.
The closest male figure to Vincent with regards to posing is Simon, I used the poses and motion files for Simon when testing the rigging, but he does not pose or bend exactly the same as Simon, mainly due to some different rigging/grouping and the low polygon count.
