Subject: Speeding up Poseing

I am wondering what I need to do to speed up poseing. I am  trying to create animations for V4 with some clothing on her.

I got a new CPU, 2.66ghz quad core and I am not seeing much of a improvement. Is it CPU based or Video Card? I am Planning on getting a new Video card as well.

I tried lowering the document style quality to no effect.

I guess I can pose with out clothing but I'm not sure how well that well work for me.

In anyevent tank you for your time.

This time of year it's pretty cold, so that's ill advised.. ;)

Least wear slippers and a robe.

Poser uses only one CPU while working with the GUI.

Try to pose in wireframe mode.

set render options threads to 3 or 4 to speed up rendering.  Change to box for tracking mode and use something other than textured for the display type .

You might also try using lower poly figures than V4.

Polys have less system impact then high res textures.

Reducing texture sizes will help, and only injecting needed morphs.

I have a trick when i texture V4 in Deep Paint 3d. I have downloaded Daz Studio got the LOD v4 ( there are a couple of them) i picked a lores version of vicky and hacked her CR2 to use her in poser 7. The morphs wont work but textures will . If you reduce the textures by 50% and use a lower V4 model it will speed up the process a lot i think.

Oh and you could youse smooth polygons when yuo render the movie:) so v4 will look like the hires version.

I think I will try poseing with cloths off.
