Also, check to see that the room itself is at zero elevation. The characters might be on the ground plane properly, but the room itself may be elevated too high.

I would suggest unchecking Smooth Polygons. It sounds like that is the issue.
Just to check: This doens't happen when you render anything on Poser's default ground plane, right? It's only when you use some other kind of floor?

Need help-hope for easy answer. When I set up a
scene with characters and a room, all looks ok.
But when I render the scene, the floor is always
up around the characters legs. This is in P6. What
am I doing wrong?
