Subject: UV Mapping and pins - stupid question

I went to use the UV mapping and found something that seemed off.

When I use the pins in UV Mapping and recalculate ("ctrl E") the islands all move. All I wanted to do is pin the center of each to keep them in place. I thought that is what they would do but nope. This happened in versions 2.46 and 2.48a.

Am I remembering things wrong or is something not working right?

Just Box select any Island(s) you don't want to move and (p-key) pin the whole island(s). Then you can select a center vert(s) to pin on the one Island you want to re-unwrap. You can also pin just the corner verts and it shouldn't move. Hope it helps.

Cheers,
JB

I think that helped. I've now found that I can use as little as three pins to keep it in place. I just can't go down to one pin I guess. Thanks for the help. ^_^
