Subject: Manually applying textures

Hi hope someone can help i have a object that imports to poser the textures must
be manually loaded.I have no idea how this is done,help appreciated.

you can load the textures on the object threw the material room.

Okay, here we go.

Step 1: make a subfolder under the :runtime:textures folder in your Poser library. Not really necessary, but it makes for a cleaner installation.
Step 2: copy the texture maps to this subfolder.
Step 3: start Poser and import the object.
Step 4: switch to the Material room - click the Material tab on top of your working screen.
Step 5: Make sure that the "Simple" tab in the Material room is selected: you should have a scrieen with 7 boxes laid out in a square. The upper left box is called "Diffuse".
Step 6: Click in the grey square under the white bar in the box "Diffuse". The "Texture Manager" pops up, asking you to select a texture map for the diffuse part of the material.  Click the "Browse" button and browse to the texture map that should be applied.
Step 7: If the object comes with a bump map, repeat step 6 in the "Bump" box. Turn down the bump value from its default of 2.54 to something much lower, like 0.1 for starters.
Step 8: If the object should be partly transparent, repeat step 6 in the "Transparency" box and pick the transparency map.
Step 8: If the object should have a dull material, click the white bar under "Specular" and choose a dark, maybe even black color from the Color Picker that shows up.
Step 9: Switch back to the Pose room
Step 10: Make sure you have the "Props" library selected in the library palette on the right hand side of the screen. Browse to a subfolder where you want to store your object.
Step 11: Click the + button in the lower right hand corner of your screen, at the bottom of the library palette. Give the object a suitable name (spaces are allowed) to store it in your Props library.

All done. Now you can use and reuse that prop, textured and all, over and over again.

The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
