Subject: Where can I get a good deal on Photoshop CS3

JasonK ( ) posted Wed, 21 January 2009 at 4:36 PM · edited Fri, 10 January 2025 at 3:56 AM

Hello everyone,

I have a friend that is looking to get into Photoshop, and wants to purchase CS3.  He asked me where the best deal was, so I thought I would check with the experts (you guys).

I told him CS3 might be hard to find since CS4 has been out a while now, but it's worth a shot.

He's not a student, so I guess any student pricing it out.  I really appreciate it guys.  Any questions, just ask.

You friendly neighborhood Marketing Manager here at Renderosity.

I wish i can pay the normal US price ..here in europe its almost twice the price...
Search for online US stores they ususaly need to get the "old" cs3 out for the new CS4 ..

Good luck and may the force be with you on this. 😉

I bought my CS2 from amazon.com... it was a pirated version! I was lucky and I actually got it re-serialized from Adobe (*which took over a month of e-mails between me, adobe and amazon, and sincere begging, plus amazon admitted they do not check out thier vendors). My point.... be extremely careful. If it is cheap, it is likely illegal in my experience.  That also includes ebay.

Just a heads up... after reading this I called adobe and asked about the cost of an upgrade, since I am in  CS2, and I know they only let you upgrade 3 versions back. You can upgrade to CS4 from CS2 for $199.00 Win/Mac versions, compatable with Windows7, Leopard(*mac), and Vista or XP.

Just thought to share that info.

Hi BigJohn! It's $349.00!

http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/photoshopextended/features/?view=topnew&promoid=DRHXH

I just called back because I forgot to ask about upgrading to it later. Tristan was very kind to inform me that if I got an upgrade to CS4, and then later wanted CS4Extended, I would get NO DISCOUNT! So if you really want CS4Extended version, buy it not CS4 alone. It's a bit more money, but I can't see any reason to pay twice for the product!

Hope that helps....
