I downloaded this bricks texture a while ago. This is a shrunk form; the original is 635*437 pixels. The oldest copy of it that I can find in my computer is a .TIF file dated 19 Jan 1999. Who made it? I can't find it in the Free Stuffs now. It looks like a photograph of real bricks rather than a generated texture. It was not useful to me as it stood because the variation in the bricks made a much too obvious repeated pattern when I used it as a tiling on a big wall. So I made an edited version with parts copied to other parts to hide the defects and variations, and I used it as a wall tiling, e.g. in this recent Sea Patrol series image (see [this link](http://www.renderosity.com/photos/Message330854.jpg)). The building in this image is an "industrial building front" that I made as an .OBJ + .MTL file; I want to upload it, but as part of it I would have to include my abovementioned "cleaned-up" version of this brickwall texture. Please comment on legality.

I found the same image on my HD. It is called "Brick Wall.PICT" for me (I'm on a Mac), dated March 11, 1996. Its size is 512x338, and it extends a bit more to the right and downward than your image above. Looks like it came with the free version of PiXELS3D. Do you have that?

What is PIXELS3D and who wrote it? I seem to remember that I downloaded this texture separately somewhere sometime. I, or someone before me, may have trimmed it to make it a whole number of bricks across and down to use it as a Bryce tiling.
