Subject: Problems with preview windows.....

So far one of the biggest problems I'm having with Vue 7 is that I cant seem to see the interaction between models in the preview windows.  As an example, I have a basic terrain on which I want to place a model.  If I place the model below the terrain, it should disappear from my view, and reappear as I bring it back above.  But right now I always see the model, and I cant tell when it comes in contact with the terrain.  It's rather simple, I'm sure someone out there can tell me how to fix it.....

I seem to remember that this was a problem in the first release and got fixed in one of the later releases. I'm not sure about this but fact is I don't have this problem. If you didn't update your Vue7, maybe you can give that a try.

So I did update it and the problem is still there.....it seems like with Vue objects like trees that I can see (kinda) when they come in contact, but with imported objects I cant.  I hate to sound angry but I cant help it, I'm so tired of these kinds of things right now.  Besides uninstalling and reinstalling is there any other way around this?

What I'm noticing is that when I move an object up and down through a terrain (as an experiment) what dissapears and reappears when the model comes in contact with the terrain isn't the model itself but the little red box around it (box isnt quite the right way to describe it, really, it's only a red outline of the corners).....

Does this make sense?

Ok, I found a way to fix it....in the options, first page, near the bottom right is a box that says "show red wireframe on selected objects" and when I turned that off I can where the model comes in contact.....Hmmm, felt good to figure something out on my own.....I should try harder....hehe.....

I have found another way to fix the problem. It was too simple to be found before trying other things. Go to the display tab at the top of Vue 7 and un-select  "Show selection wireframe on top" Now it will behave almost identical to Vue 6.
