Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 12 6:08 pm)
cartoon-with-line preview, olivier's toon shaders, poser cartoon shader with poser inking,
poser cartoon shader with edge-blend (fall-off shader) inking. the possibilities are endless.
just avoid photoshop actions, as the shading and linework must be done by the 3D app IMVHO
if one is to simulate the efforts of human colourists and inkers.

Whoa. I just tried looking on RDNA, and... their free stuff has become very hard to navigate. Yeeks.

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking. He apologizes for this. He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.
Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below. His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

Except for the new top menu, it has been like that for years, nothing new.
Here's what you're looking for (it's not found in the free stuff section):

One note about these shaders, they look good in larger renders, but if you are using them in a comic book that jas smaller frames, they tend to look a lot less good and sharp. When you're intending to use them, expect to be doing a lot of tweaking to get right, especially when you intend to print you're comics also, as I do.
I did one complete comic using these shaders, but in the end the effort I had to put into it to get it all looking as best as possible, made me realize that these shaders are very time consuming. The next comic I created (and the one I'm working on) are without the shaders, simply because they're very time consuming.
Certainly worth the investment, but not as easy and quickly to use as they are being promoted. If you're not prepared to do the extra work needed and you're looking for a quick solution, these may not be what you're looking for.
Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(
Food for thought.....

The Wisdom of bagginsbill:
"Oh - the manual says that? I have never read the manual - this must be why."Thanks all. I have some free choices now and some for as much as $65. Unfortunatly for me I found RuntimeDNA just when I had purchased almost everything I want from renderosity and Daz3D. It will cost me at least $500 to $1000 over the next few months. Oh well progress. I'm also glad to know that it is no small undertaking. It may not save me as much time as I hoped. But it will free me up to explore new styles.

I'm so fussy about final renders that sometimes easy projects just dont get done due to glacial render times. I think going to a cartoon shader like those available as add ons to Daz Studio would render quickly and let me storyboard or make quick cartoon content.
What's the options. I've tried tweeking all the sketch presets but none can come anywhere near what I want.
