or ten ;P i never think of this stuff til AFTER i post ;) anyways, is there any way of moving stuff without it falling apart after importing it into bryce? like the right side of her heir, i forgot to apply a mag to , for a slight breeze effect,.. can i use the move tools rotation etc in bryce to fix that? or will it fall apart? ... thx! :)
The fire: One of your fire boxes looks like its getting the wrong texture. The flat brightness of the flames that are there could be from lighting. Make sure the specular is turned off. Fire is a light and so isn't affected by light. A physics expert would probably disagree with me on this point but we're just talking about pictures here. also make sure your fire does not cast a shadow. All imported poser materials seem to come in with way too much ambience as well. One more mystery re: Poser mtl > Bryce In poser, you'll notice that often the character's material will be set to a color. This helps make the character look reasonably human even before textures are applied ie; not like a white statue. When you add a texture to that poser model the color of the texture get multiplied by the color of the object. If the lips material is red and you add a red texture on top of it you will get saturated red lips. Red x Red In bryce, it seems that it will come in with that material color (red) but will be replaced by the texture color once the texture is added. That's why your characters might look a little washed out compared to what they looked like in Poser. This is all my own observation and is not a company condoned explanation of anything that takes place in either program. Believe at your own risk. Oh, and yes, it will fall apart. good luck, Cheryle, and you don't need a newbie section. :)
Looks like some of your objects need the Transparancy map applied (hair & fire). There is also a great (actually a couple) tutorials for applying Poser Textures into Bryce. Check the tut link at the top of this page. I did recently run inot one glitch within Bryce, see my post in Bryce forum "Bitmap Bummers" ->still no answers yet...
