Subject: Wardrobe Wizard Tutorial?

rik10463 ( ) posted Wed, 18 February 2009 at 6:13 PM · edited Mon, 03 February 2025 at 10:00 AM

Hey there... Does anyone know of a tutorial or instruction guide for Wardrobe Wizard 2? I found one on line, but it seems to be for an older version and thus far I have not had one successful conversion. Every conversion has break throughs, shoes always look deformed. I have all the add-ons for all of my base characters, so I don't know what's going on. Thanks, R

Did you check Philc's site, he is the creator of WW2 and frequents the forum every so often.

yeah I did. I tried to register so I could post there, but had no clue what the answer to the question he was asking on the registration form. I'm sure if I sifted through all the posts there I'd find something, but I get bleery eyed trying to sift through everything. He seems to have a tutorial for everything on his sight except for wardrobe wizard. go figure. R

You'll find it here - http://www.philc.net/WW2_help.htm

It's not a video tut but it does explain how to use the program and doesn't require registration in the forums.

The forum registration question is:-

POSE MATERIAL FACE HAIR ????? SETUP CONTENT

I wanted something that a human Poser user would know. On the registration page I even tell you where to look for the answer. Open Poser, look at the top of the screen. What are the names on the tabs? What is the name of the missing one?

I appreciate that if you are using Poser 4 or the original Poser Pro Pack or erlier you would not know that, but otherwise I thought that I had picked something that was front and center every time someone opened Poser.

If you start the Wardrobe Wizard plug in version you will see a button labeled "Help" This brings up a very comprehensive set of instructions including an on screen video. Links on the page take you to the on line resources including links to additional tutorials and on screen videos.

The stand alone version is similar except the help link in the top menu bar.

Did you click on the help? Were the help files and on screen videos helpful?

ok.. now I feel completely stupid.. lol. yes. I did click the help button but nothing happened. Perhaps I have a bug in my poser, but any of the python scripts with help and or open pdf manual never seems to work. Thanks for the help. I'll give it a go. R

If Windows Vista is not allowing you to open it for security reasons you can find the PDF file in the Wardrobe Wizard 2.0 folder named WW2_help.pdf

Thanks... I'm watching your joint parameter tutorial right now. I seem to get a lot of that. And I'm on a Mac if that makes any difference. Thanks again, R

OK... so I've got shirts and jackets working pretty well (thanks to the parameter tutorial)... but pants are a whole other issue. After converting them, the "feet" or cuff area seems to stick to the floor. It doesn't give an option for IK (it's greyed out) and I tried playing with the parameter settings, but it doesn't seem to help. I'm sure I'm just an idiot, but thought I'd see if there were any cures for this. I'm going from D3 to M4. Thanks, R

In order that I can give the best answer for this particular model, would it be possible for you to send me the pants OBJ and CR2 file? I can then look in detail and advise accordingly.

Thanks phil.. I'll send them.

OK got the file and figured it out. Details in my email back to you. Basically an IK error not of your making.
