Subject: Hanging a towel from a peg question?

How would you go about using the cloth room in Poser 7 to make a towel hanging from a peg?

I would start the towel laying horizontally above the peg just touching it and partly over the top of the peg. I'd then constrain from 2 to 3 points of the towel right where it meets the peg and make the rest of it part of the dynamic group. You need the constrained points to keep it attached to the peg. Then run your simulation.

Like this??? Simple cloth plane on edge, collide against cylinder, drape for 30 frames...nothing speacial on the materials.

Hello,

For help with the cloth room, here is a tutorial from Dr. Geep  http://drgeep.com/p5/cr/cr.htm

Also, check out this page on cloth - lots of links and reading www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php

In a way,  when you constrain part of the cloth,  you're "telling" THAT part of the cloth to "stay put" where it is and not to be effected by any dynamics.

good luck
