Poser Wiki is a free site to use. This is a non commercial site for information on Poser. Primary goal of the site to create community based information such as tutorials, links to figures, sites that have interesting or rare to find poser related content.

Poserpedia in my opinion is more geared towards commercial related stuff. Where as this one we want it to be geared towards non commercial. The site is just starting and we hope we can get some people to contribute links, information and sites of those rare to find Poser items.

OK I'm game. Suppose I want to start writing a little tutorial, one a day or so, on the material room. Of course I often do such here, but they get lost. Having things in one place where they can be searched or browsed and not get lost, and people can discuss or add questions without breaking up the flow of the tut - sounds good.

So I searched for tutorials. The search dialog is confusing. What are all those checkboxes for. Why is "Poser Wiki" unchecked? Isn't that where I am? I have no idea where to start. Tips please. On the site I suppose.

Also, I'm assuming I can upload tons of screen shots and so on easily - no bitching about sizes or a total bytes limit of my uploads? Can I upload material files as is or will I have to rename them to .txt or some other nonsense like this forum?

I am still learning this myself since i am not a Wiki expert. I am looking into several things right now like images, possible adding a gallery to upload images to, Html editing.

ny, this has been done many times. whether it's a forum where somebody can post the contents of the last daz newletter, or whether it's a valuable search engine like the one linked above.  I suppose the main issue is the desire to be in charge of something, which occurs here on a regular basis.
