Ohhhhh, wonderful idea!  My mind is mentally perusing sites already wherein this will work. Now I just have to wait for the weather to cooperate a bit so I can get out and get those shots!

So where do they go when a photograph leaves you speechless?

Good morning!  I'm so glad to have the link again.  Thank you, Shari!  :)

This is a fantastic idea.  I particularly remember the example you used top right, although I'm embarassed to say I've forgotten who took the picture.  It's fabulous, and I fell in love with it the minute I saw it the first time.  Unfortunately, I had a brain cramp and didn't favorite it right then.  Can you tell me whose that is?

This is an exciting topic!  You are just a veritable wealth of excellent, creative ideas that keep us entertained and playing.  :)  I'm going to start looking around right away.

Auntie, that photo, my dear -- was taken by our very own Busi2ness.  :-)  also, another little fyi .. the portrait on the wall you see in that image?  Is me .. when I was only 5.  😊

Spotted and took a shot of this superb image at the recent Focus Photography show so no idea who took the shot it was to show off the amazing abilities of a new camera so seems to fit the bill

Took this one a few hours ago hangin' at Historic Smithville Park in (NJ). Had to get out of the house before the Nor'easter HITS....10 inches of snow predicted BRRRR!

This is part of the old wood working machine factory there.  Liked how the missing 2nd floor door space was framing the tree in the distance.

Ideal for the theme Joe, a top notch shot...Sounds like you have some pretty foul weather on the way, take care.

Okay, Shari, now I think I've totally lost my mind.  When I saw that image this morning, I was quite sure it was Piet's work ... something about it just shouted his name.  I went to his gallery to see the original, and it wasn't there.  So I decided I had been mistaken, and it wasn't his image.  (I was so sure!  But no.  I looked again.  No.  Dang!)  Ah well.  In a state of total mystification, I asked, and you tell me it was his after all.  Well, thanks for the info, and your pic is perfect there on the wall!

No wonder I didn't favorite it - the darned thing wasn't a gallery post!  (It should be.)  Where did I see it before?  Is this one of those weird deja'vu reincarnation things or something???  LOL!

Piet?  Psssttt ... Piet!

I hesitate to ask, 'cause you've probably got your reasons, but ... how come that totally amazing image isn't in your gallery for me to fav?  It's beautifully compelling.  I think I've seen it twice before, and it has grabbed me every time.

Well I can't get out right now for a shot as it's just past 3AM here but I just saw a frame within a frame on my MP3/HD, it's a well known © name so I blurred it out,

I can see I'm going to love this month's challenge!  Wonderful images so far, everybody!  I've had a busy weekend, and haven't touched the camera, but I'll be looking !!

@ Shari:  Nope ... I know it's your pic on the wall in Piet's homepage, but the photograph you've used for your announcement page on this challenge is the very image I've seen before.  The doorway, the walls ... with your picture there ... I'll go ask him.  Perhaps he posted it in another challenge or something.  :)

For Tara (auntietk). I remember Piet's picture that you are looking for as being in the monthly challenge dealing with delapidation.  I haven't figured out an easy way to navigate backward in the monthly challenges...but quite sure it was October 2008.

another great topic you've come up with this month, I had a peek yesterday at what it was and had it in mind when taking a few pics earlier today... enough to fill my 3 entries for sure! but I thought I'd do something a little different and set this shot up earlier this evening. the picture on the screen was taken previously and processed, then I set up the shot again, using the 400d to get this shot of the 40d in live view mode. the screen was in colour, I just converted it to b&w in post

fav so far has to be Joe's, but so many posts already and we've only just started... these challenges are going from strength to strength, my compliments to the staff!

Thank you so much, Bill & RJ!  :)  I don't know what I'd do without you guys.  Lose my head if it weren't attached, I suppose!  LOL!

I've just been hanging out with one of my nephews and his wife and their brand-new baby, so I haven't been taking frame-within-a-frame pics.  (Baby pics, yes!)  I'm excited about the challenge, but I hadn't seen the baby yet.  So ... sorry everyone, you came second to my kid today!  :)

Thank you, Shari, for the fantastic topic again this month.  You rock my world!

Was out at the local park a few hours ago (with camera of course). While hanging there, I noticed the moon shining in the sky, so I took a few shots of it ***by itself***... uh, nothing special really, actually  kind of boring! Then that li'l ***bulb*** went off in my head and I situated myself under some trees to see if I could ***frame*** the moon in some way.  Tried a few different compositions...they were....*OK*.   I walked around some more and found another set of trees where the branches were framing the moon.  This one had that extra li'l something...a bird sitting on one of the branches.   CLICK!
