Oh boy! Driver updates! It's like Christmas all over again!

Well, okay, no, not really. But it is useful info. Thanks for lettin' us know, I always like to keep the ol' video card fresh. 😄

Well the latest one (the one before this)  fixed the M4 /V4 crashes Poser.. so Driver updates ARE important.

Didn't mean to imply they weren't, I was just bein' mah usual, silly self.

The last update I got from nVidia also fixed problems I had with both Carrara and Adobe Premiere, so I do think of them as valuable, and I believe everyone else should, too. 😄

Does it work for XP 64?

DarkEdge ( ) posted Tue, 03 March 2009 at 6:20 PM

Yes, I would like to know that as well...because drivers for x64 systems are finicky. 😄

Thanks for the heads up - nVidia driver updates usually cure most of my unexpected video hiccoughs.  Gotta get 'em.

Dang and i just installed 182.06 yesterday. Captain jack is right, nVIDIA is way too fast with their driver versions sometimes LOL. Ah well better then being too slow i guess :)

I just hope it fixes my occasional GW problems...

Winterclaw you having GW problems? running on a 9800gtx+?
Underclock the card (often fixes issues on many nvidiacards, especially if you experience sudden black screen crashes).
I find this forum hell of unoversightable so i won`t find this post again, pm me if you got questions ;)

How do I ensure my Poser is using the NVIDIA driver I got with my brand new Desktop(Vista 64bit)? Do you have to turn something on? I believe it's like Gforce 3200.

ProudApache ( ) posted Wed, 04 March 2009 at 6:28 PM

Yes there is an update for 64 bit XP.  I am running the 64 Bit now with the update and it works fine.  Thanks for the heads up Mariner.
