Subject: hair with bad settings

i was today experimenting with the hair room. i wanted to make good hair with very bad settings for fast renders. and or course with shadows. it looks like that the ''hair'' node doesnt work very good with an IBL.
raytraced shadows render very long and it doesnt look good. even if you have very sharp shadows on hair they dont look so sharp.
so i think it is the best to render the figure and hair seperate and then in photoshop or gimp(free) you put them together.

hair room settings:
-72 hairs
-tip 1
-root 5
-verts 15(in the last image 8)

shading rate is set to 10. in the material room i also added a blin node for backlights. its not realistic. it works best for some fantasy renders like final fantasy. i think it looks good. this of course can not be used for long hair. only for short hair.

how long do you think it rendered?
