Subject: A little help please

Hello all,

I have been busy for some time and finially am able to get back to using Poser. I am using Poser5 and trying to learn how to work with it. My major problem right now is the window with the model in it keeps moving up in to the top right hand corner and I have no idea how to move it back to where it belongs. I don't even know why it moves. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Moonbow

that window is floating and can be moved by grabbing the top of it and dragging [left mouse and drag]

If it keeps going back to the same location after you pull it,
could be a problem with the file Poser.ini.

Try deleting the file and restarting Poser.  This will put everything
to default locations and will write a new Poser.ini file.  This
sometimes helps.

If you're using Vista, you could be having access limitations,
because the typical Poser installation is inside Program Files
which has tight limits.  I don't know if this would affect the INI
file, but it's a general problem.

Be sure Poser has maximum access, or move the whole setup
to a location outside Program Files, such as C:Poser 5.

Isnt' that a fairly known bug in Poser 5? I remember it. The best way of fixing the situation is to set a Memory Dot when the workspace looks like you want it to, and then make sure the memory dots is placed where they won't be obscured next time the window goes North.

Thing is I would have sworn it used to go to the top LEFT corner. But then it's been ears since I used P5, so I may remember it wrong.

(PS.: to all old P5 users.. am I the only one who still gets a moment of panic whenever I've selected the Left Forearm and see it on the parameter dials?)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
