How do I install the Cara Loft character in Poser 4? Thanks

Unzip everything into a folder, Go to free section download the PInstall or the poser loader and both utilities can do the job for you. Some zips if you point them to the Poser 4 directory will unzip everything automatically also if you cheeck that option when you open the zip.

Or... you can look at the files inside the .zip and look at the path names to become more familiar with the programs' structure. Most 'goodies' have definite names of folders, and you must keep the folder names the same inside your Geometries, Character, Props, Lights, Camera, Faces, and Texture libraries to avoid problems. Pay special attention to upper/lower case - it's got to be exact (until you learn how to edit the .cr2 -and other- files...). I've been at it since November - and i'm just starting to produce some good renders (though you won't be near as slow as me ;-) ).

If your Laura Croft is in 3ds format(or any other format Poser supports) you must import it inside the Poser GUI as a 3ds (or other recognizable format) using the import function to get it into your document window. After that you can save it to your character library... Sheesh - I sound like I know what i'm talking about! If I don't, someone will surely jump in and correct me and give you a better way.

I'm still not able to use her in Poser, after doing what y'all said, I got pinstall.

Is this Phil Hokusai's Cara Loft? If so, all you have to do is copy the lara3.obj to your Poser 4's runtime/Geometries/Hair folder. Put the LaraH.pz3 and LaraHair5.pz3 where ever you like, then either use the File/Open menu or the File/Import/Poser Document/prop menu item. Regards- Lemurtek

Nope, it says it can't open that .obj file in the hair folder, I did what you said, too.

What about just clicking on the pz3? Should open up in poser, then just save anywhere you like. Be prepared for your interface to change to his but should reset itself if you restart it I think. Wish I could offer more advice but I'm fairly new too.
