Greeting and Salutations All

I finally just put V4 in my run-time and have a few basic questions:

With V3 you have a way of " open mouth" "blink" and different ways of controlling the face
I don't see how u do this with V4
Also how do you remove the hair that's attached to this model?
If someone has a read me or a tutorial that would be great

Using WIN XP, P6 and V4 with base and ++ morphs

Viper, the controls are found in the transforms when you go into each body section.  It's a pain, I know, but they're there.

As for the hair that comes with the model, it's actually a texture map so if you want to get rid of it, just apply another texture.  Of course, you'll lose that funky bikini, too, but it's no big loss.

The hair and bikin are part of the basic texture that loads. You simply need to find another texture (mat pose) to apply that doesnt have them.  There are some skin texturss in freestuff if you dont have any others of the daz textures.

There may be a morph for the head involved.

You should find similar morphs for v4 as with v3 in the head. I dont know what morphs were supplied with the base figure if any. Look in the runtime!Daz folder to see what morphs there are. You may have to expand the morph list by clicking on the group name , it will have  a + sign next to it.

Ok got it Thank you. If you could look at this link for me, I want to purchase this item . The product requirements say "Victoria 4 Morphs ++ Aiko 4" does this mean you must own the ++ morphs and the separate character A4? I see a lot of products for purchase that say this.

If you're not planning on using Damiana on an Aiko 4 figure you don't need to own it.  My own characters all say that Aiko 4 is a requirement but it's only if you want to use it with Aiko 4.  The mesh for both characters is the same so you can purchase this and use it on Victoria 4.2 just fine.  You do  have to have the Morphs ++ though but you already have them.

I have each character that I own in separate run-times. In order to have V4 all of her morphs have to be added to the main P6 run time. Do you know if that means that any additional pkg, say Damiana have to be in the P6 run time or can they be in another special V4 run time of my own creation?

You can put them anywhere you want, Viper.  I have a V4 external runtime, a V4.1 external runtime and a V4.2 external runtime because, obviously, I started with V4 and went from there.  I did install the original V4 into my P6 and P7 runtimes.  I did the same with Aiko 4 even though I have an external runtime for her, as well.  Any character packages I buy or make go into external runtimes.  I hate installing to the main Runtime because it can get bloated really fast and then Poser takes forever to load.

I agree with victoria, V4 base and Morph++ need to be in the parent Poser runtime folder.  Anything texture, pose or clothing sets can be kept in external runtimes of your choice.  However, whenever you make a content addition for V4, rerun the update installer.
