Ok so i've been messing around all day and night just checking out stuff and tutorials and im loving it. Ok so quick question i was trying to figure out how to make really nice water in poser and i came across this awesome tutorial http://www.renderosity.com/mod/tutorial/index.php?tutorial_id=916&page=2 the only problem is and i dont know if this has anything to do with it but im running poser 7 and when i try to add the ripple jpg it just wont come out right any one know of another way to get some really beautiful water effects in? I know poser has a wave mechanic in it but i wasnt sure if thats what i should be going for. Thanks again!!

the tutorial is showing ripples using the displacement option rather than bump. You need to set on "use displacement maps" in render settings for that to work.

Ok thanks alot =) that got me a little closer still not quite there yet though. I guess that will come with more experience any other tips on trying to get the water to look a little more realistic because now it has a 2d feel to it.
