hi @everybody...

friends i got a problem i cant solve myself

i was sooo happy to see theres a new girl, the girl 4.
i bought it, installed it to poser and applied all the included girl 4 poses and injections. first i loaded the new girl 4 figure then i applied them...even the girl 4 scale at last.
Well but nothing changed! I just still had my v4 with the girls head, but still v4's body!
i have my v 4.2 body morphs installed correctly again...no change again...
ive got just the girl 4 base but...there is no The Girl look-alike on that figure...just its head...

what can i do? is there a special installation order or does the girl still miss something??
how must i set up the girl 4 correctly??

can somebody help me?

That's weird.  Because, if you load the figure, all of the morphs should auto-inject at 1.    Have you tried a fresh download, and reinstalling/initializing?

hm i can install it again...sure...i will try that immediately!

i installed g4 again, loaded g4 as a figure from DAZ People and got the girls head on v4's body again...how frustrating! :(

At the end of the installation, did the installer suggest that you allow it to initialize the figure?  And did you answer yes?  If so, the figure should be fine.

Did you install to your Poser Runtime (the one with the executable in it)?  Assuming you may have external runtimes, this figure wants to be in the base runtime (as do V4 and M4).

When you get the weird result (girl head, V4 body) can you see the Girl morph in the list when selecting the body?  If so, is it adjusted to 1.0?  If not, turn it up and see if the morph works.  If the morph isn't present, find the injection morph and apply it.

Step 1: Install V4.2 to your main Poser Runtime (Yes, reinstall her and update her when the installer asks to initialise her, click yes.)
Step 2: Install Girl 4 to your main Poser Runtime (Again, Click yes to Initialise the morphs when the installer asks)
Step 3: Load Girl 4 and inject any other morphs you want her to use starting with Morphs ++

i swear i did all ur steps in the right order - went to poser, loaded g4 (no difference to my "G4/V4 hybrid" i had before, then i double-clicked on all those injections but still...no change to my just loaded g4-figure.

my loaded G4 figure from Daz (with the applied morphs/injs) looks like the one on the pic above :( :( :(

dang...look at the size of those lacrimals...;)

wonder if it's a scaling problem; or the dials are set too low for the eyes.

just two more girls, and we can have a 'girl 6' movie tie-in...;)

There's a thread over in the commons about those eye problems with the girl. Might want to check there to see if they can help.

Did she look like Girl 4 before you injected her. Maybe the V4.2 injection files are doing something weird.

Oh... I just realized how that first sentence sounds. Sorry, no pun intended :blushing:

no no....when i loaded the G4 figure it already looks like a V4 body with a G4 head on it, i can apply any inj to that fig, aiko 4, elite, morphs ++ or g4....it doesnt change its look.

well then u can use all the added morph dials...it works but....i inject the g4 morphs, G4 is set to 1 but its still a usual v4 body....:(

and further on that strange-eyes-thing is sooo...aaaaaarrrggghhh

Well, I would be contacting Daz about it. I don't have a lot of faith in their lead tech support guy but that was simply my experience and you might get better results. I would at least let them know what's going on. It just sounds like file corruption to me, though. Good luck to you and don't forget to post any results should you get the problem fixed. It might help someone else later :)
