Heres a little model im working on for fun. ive always wanted one in my living room but im resigned to the fact it may never be. So as i have been doing high detail models of late i thought i'd make my own one in 3D - i'm sure there are many places i could download a version, but i wanted the fun of building it myself. to bring back that spirit of '77. Now before the purists start on: this is not done to any set of plans at all. It is simply how i remember it from the movies, I have been on enough forumns to know that there are precise plans and measurements available and some who make them out of resin and kits can get quite pendantic. This one of mine is just for fun. and know what , if i ever finish it. It'll be a freebie. thanks for looking.

one of the two things Blender's actually good for is greebles. Selecting particular faces, and keeping the amount of extusion really small, you can add this stuff in.

There's oodles of reference sites for Star Wars...heck, I bet someone's probably even got blueprints...;) (Star Trek has 'em, and they're almost as fanatical as Star Wars fans...;)
