I cannot recall if RDNA said anything or not as to How Long they expected to be down for the Change Over to their New Home.
Looks like they are going into Day 3 now with being down.

I frequently use references to many of the Node Cult Posts in the Forums.

I asked this question in another thread and got no answer - they must still be dealing with the moving bugs.  I need to buy kitchen stuff, I have some excellent small appliances in my wishlist... don't exactly remember what they are, except one is a blender, but I remember they're good. I put them in there 'for later' and now later has come, along with a deadline, I can't get at em! XD

I thought they prepared it all beforehand and then move over in a matter of 1 or 2 days. It's almost a week now, perhaps that's even more then they anticipated? Hope they will be back soon.

Well, moving onto a new server doesn't always work as easily as that - it's a bit like moving house. You find the couch won't fit in the corner where you want it and the bed won't go through the bedroom door... XD

i think they're changing the site.  i didn't think they were necessarily changing servers, but i'm pretty sure they're entirely changing the CMS.  they made a lot of statements about preserving accounts and content.  considering how old their site seemed to be, i'm not surprised it's taking so long.

Yep I had a full cart, went to purchase and they were gone... it has been nearly a week now.

it's at least 4 (if not more) days since I first saw that message.

I really wonder why they didn't get the new forum up and running before they killed the old one. That is after all more .. usual behaviour. 

Can they really afford to lose several weeks of income?`I hope so, but it seems like a very bad business decision to me.

They've been down 12 days according to my count. That's a lifetime in cyberspace as well as income loss. I'm amazed at how long it's been. I hope they come back soon!

This is starting to get worrisome. I hope they DO come back. No word at all seems a bit scary.

I guess at the worst all the artists can move their products to other sites.

So much on shader information here points to links there. That's tragic. That info needs to be in some sort of faq right here on Rendo. Feels like my right arm's been chewed off...

I don't go there all the time, but I'm starting to get concerned as well. Does anyone know anyone in the higher-ups or admins who might contact or get knowledge to pass on to us?

 I heard Friday from one of their vendors there. I hope that's true. Not that I've ever used RDNA much but I don't like it being gone.

I love their PICK stuff. I use it a lot, but yeah, I didn't go there too much either, but it did have good products when you needed them, and now that they are down I all of a sudden remember stuff I wanted to get. Funny how that works.

They have a huge amount of data to port from the old (Bondware) software to whatever new software they've chosen.

It doesn't particularly surprise me that its taken longer than they first estimated.
Some of the delay could even be due to difficulties getting the data from the old DB.
Whatever is causing the trouble, its going to be much easier to deal with offline.

3DC took at least a couple of months to make their server switch.

My fingers are crossed in the hope that there won't be to many glitches to sort out when they do reappear.

Clint is in charge of RDNA at last word, and I have his home number, but hesitate to call on this reason... cause it would seem inappropriate. But I too, am worrying a bit now. Maybe I will site mail Gothic Blend and see what is up. I'll let you know here if I get word.

Actually, Syyd, Colm and Traveler are in charge of RDNA...Clint is part of the admin team as Team Manager.  Yes, it would be inappropriate to call Clint, especially since  everyone is under an NDA. :)  That would not be a comfortable position to put someone in.

Everything is fine..it takes time to move seven years of data and get it all polished and shiny and new.

It's baaaaaaack. :)

No, it's still not open.

It was up for a bit last night and now it's down again. I looked through it, but it seemed some stuff still wasn't done yet. They were probably testing something, or found an issue.
