Please spay and neuter your pets. Strongly consider shelter adoption before spending $500 to $1000. If you MUST part with that kind of money for a pet, go to your local shelter, donate the money to them and pickup a highly adoptable pet. The shelters could sure use the donation.

I doubt it.  They'd have let folks know if they were closing forever.  Hopefully, they're just working out a few bugs.

No, they are just experiencing a variation on DAZ  "soon".  i.e. "shortly"

They have a MySpace page, you could check there for updates

Unfortunately I'm at work and myspace is blocked so I don't know if there is any news there or not.

The last email I got from them was to say they were making some major changes to the site & that it would be offline for the duration of those changes, I got the impression it would only be for a couple of days, but everyone knows nothing ever goes 100% according to plan.

you would think one of them , or one of the vendors there, would at least say something in the other forums.
I've been over there pretty much since it opened, and love Syyd and Colm, and the rest, but this is not good business nor is it good for PR.

I agree, I would think some professional courtesy is in order. Must going to be a hell of site when they open back up

It'll be fine, I promise :) I have nothing to do with RDNA, other than being a customer, but I know from my dealings with Sydd and the rest of the team over there that if there is a huge problem, they'll let everyone know.  It's probably a small, fixable problem that's taking a little longer than normal to work out.  Patience is a virtue, folks ;)

Syyd's brother passed away last week so I am sure she is really torn up right now. They are working hard to get it up and going however. RDNA will return :-)

It's not really up to the vendors to advise about the state of the site, therefore some of us, while perhaps wanting to say something, don't feel we have the authority to do so since we're not the site owners.  All we can really do it say hang in there...it will be soon. Otherwise we're making assumptions or speaking out of turn.

As far as "I" know, being an RDNA vendor myself, everything is fine, just taking a bit longer than expected, and the site will be brand-shiney new when it reappears. I don't have any more info than that...except to hope Syyd is hanging in there as best she can because she's been really stellar to work with and all other dealings I've had with RDNA have been first rate. I have no reason NOT to expect a great new site when it comes back online.

What Zai said :)

Also don't forget we the RDNA vendors are under NDA like in all store, so we can't say much about that :)

I hope Syyd at some point sees this thread, so she'll know our thoughts & well wishes are with her at this sad time & if that means we have to wait longer to see the results of the RDNA makeover then they'll have no complaints about it from me.

You mean some one has a life outside of the 3D world??? Parish the thought!!!!  Over the years I have learned one thing about poserites they have no patients  and it's sad. Many come across as if their lives are so grossly impacted by the temporary closing of a 3D site or act as if their very lives will end if a product isn't released in the time they feel it should that it's past sad.

I am not saying this applies to the posters of this thread but some out there should be ashamed of their behavior feeling as if they are owed something or that a site should be up and running because they feel that enough time has passed  because what is important to them in their small minds out weighs another's REAL LIFE personal loss.

Maybe the "I want it now" or "I need it now" people should put a sock in it and send well wishes and prayers of strength to Syyd and her family and be happy in the knowledge that in time RDNA will be back.

As I said my feelings are not pointed at any one person in this thread it's just a generalization of how I feel about some of the selfish and un-patient posters in the Poser universe I've been seeing in many of the forums.

Well this prolly isn't going to win me new friends.. but.. If I was working at a deadline and I needed something from a store - be it 3D or otherwise.. I just can't use "personal problems" to soothe my boss.

Don't get me wrong, I'm seriously sorry for Syyd's loss - but this is a business. And at the moment it's just not being run professionally. I'm not one of the "I wnt it now" people. Actually I couldn't give a toss if it's back online or not. I hope it is, so I cen eventually access my purchases there again, but.. well.

I find it amazing how some people here attack others for needing THEIR RIGHTFULLY PAID stuff now - or for wanting to buy somethig they need - now!

In my eyes RDNA has always been the .. mature.. professional site around here. But the way they've handled this isn't professional at all. I mean.. what would it take for someone in charge - not necessarily Syyd - to pop in here and give us all an ETA?

Well,

All these comments on this thread I started, just goes to show that there are many people who ARE very passionate about Poser. I completely agree with TrekkieGrrl, business is business. There are vendors who are losing income as well as customers who use these products to create income related to their art. My deepest condolences do go out to Syyd and her family. However, unfortunately, business does go on. It's OK TrekkieGrrrl. I'm an artist of some very dark art, I'm used to being unpopular.   And the thread goes on.........
