First, how do I get the textures onto a pair of pants? Second, how do I get the friggin' prop into the guy's hand? I'm a newbie, stop throwing rocks. OW! I SAID NO ROCKS!

hides the rock behind his back First question: Select the pair of pants. Open your Material Editor (Render menu > materials). The pants may have several different material areas. You can select which material you want to work with in the pull down menu on the right. In the "Texture Map" box, hit the browse button and find the texture map image you want to use. You can assign a different map to each material area, but if you want to use the same map for the entire pants, just check the "Texture changes apply to the entire figure" box. Second question: select the prop. Using the dials you can move the prop in space with the x, y and zTran dials. You can change the direction it faces using the x, y and zRotate dials. Once you have it positioned as you wish in the figure's hand, open your Prop Properties (Object menu > Properties). Click the "Set Parent" button and find the rHand (or lHand) in the list, click the name, and then hit okay. Now when you pose the hand or the arm, the prop will move with the hand. Hope this helps.

Believe it or not, some of this info is in the manual. Worth looking at.
