Firefox .. Marketplace and Chat won't load. everything else on the site - Freestuff, Forums, Tutorials etc are working fine
I've restarted FF and it's made no difference.

Huh.  You emptied your cookies and cache, right?

Khai ( ) posted Mon, 20 April 2009 at 10:20 AM

and same on the Laptop.

ok something's up....

JenX ( ) posted Mon, 20 April 2009 at 10:23 AM

I have no idea...to me, it sounds like something's up with your connection.  I'm in chat right now, and I've been in and out of the MP all morning, with no problems, running FF and Chrome.  Have you reset your router?

no idea here either. reset the router, swtiched from OpenDNS back to Cogeco... no go.
I can't access those 2 pages.
everything else is working fine.

JenX ( ) posted Mon, 20 April 2009 at 10:39 AM

Has anything happened in the last 24 hours that would maybe explain the connection problem?  A firewall change, perhaps?

ok the common factor is, they are both on market.renderosity.com

for which I get a zero ping.

a tracert for market.renderosity.com times out around chicago.level13.net (step 6) and does not complete....

ok it's not you guys and it's not me... it's something inbetween....

Khai ( ) posted Mon, 20 April 2009 at 10:49 AM

anyone got the IP Number for Market.rendo? looks like there's a DNS issue between where I am and the server :(

JenX ( ) posted Mon, 20 April 2009 at 10:50 AM

Huh...and I can't see a reason for any problems noted...the best I can think of is calling your ISP and asking what's up.

Khai ( ) posted Mon, 20 April 2009 at 10:58 AM

well since the request for the site leaves Cogeco's network fine then fails around chicago, they ain't gonna do squat... (trust me. I've had that conversation with them before....) looks like I'm outta luck till whatever's up resolves itself....

oh and I've not had a single Ebot for this thread ethier...

infinity10 ( ) posted Mon, 20 April 2009 at 10:59 AM

it's not some DNS caching thing is it ?

Khai ( ) posted Mon, 20 April 2009 at 11:01 AM

not from here. I've used 2 Proxies, (Cogeco and OpenDNS) neither of them want to connect to that server... Pings are getting lost and tracert is timing out when it hits level13's chicago area...

shrug

Looks like I'm just outta luck.

Khai ( ) posted Mon, 20 April 2009 at 11:18 AM

now it's working. looks like level13 kicked a server....
