Subject: OT: Looking for a particular FLASH animator

Larry F ( ) posted Tue, 14 April 2009 at 4:03 AM · edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 11:44 PM

Is anyone in here familiar with a certain FLASH animator whose website features a lot of silhouettes of dinosaurs, ocean going ships, flying pteryodactyls, etc. Very nice stuff, mostly in silhouette?  Had a list of links on a flash drive that got accidentally tossed, would like to find that website again.

Anyone familiar with this particular animator?  Copious searching has been so far fruitless.

Thanks in advance.

Well, worth a try anyway.  It's some very sweet stuff - great anims of silhouetted stylized dinosaurs crashing and thrashing about, some set to music, rumbling, tumbling, etc.  Found site somehow - probably in somebody's (?) links, great looking stuff.  If I find it again I'll post link here but have been looking for over a week now, asking at various FLASH sites, no luck.  Learning more and more about .swf's - actually using SwishMAX2, which is very cool and a lot cheaper than FLASH.

Thanks again.

I didn't find dinosaurs, but I did find this, which is rather nice:

Attached Link: Flash animator Michel Gagne interview

The guy's name is Michel Gagne and apparently he created these for Nickelodeon (who knew?) some time back.  Interview at the link.

Thanks very much for posting that, LarryF.  I can see that being of use in my essay this year or possibly my dissertation next year.
