Subject: P7 hanging up

I had a hard drive failure last week so had to buy a new hard drive. Poser worked fine on my old harddrive.  No probs. This is exactly the same make of harddrive just a diff manufacturer.

Now when I open it up, and delete something, i.e simon from the preview, it hangs. It just sits on the delete screen. Or if I get a message, as soon as I press ok. It hangs. And I have to ctrl alt delete to close it.

Any idea what I can do to fix this. I need to do a picture! im having withdrawal symptoms lol

Graphics card is nvidia8600gt gforce512mb and updated today. I am on 32bit dual core 2ghz and have 3gb ram and usually handles multiple figures in a scene with no problem.

Lol Im typing this now and Ive got the Are you sure you want to delete etc screen on my monitor. Thats how bad its hanging.  I havent even installed v4 yet becaused no point if I cant get simon off my preview!

 Have you tried reinstalling poser? Or even restarting your computer? I had the same problem, but it was fixed when I restarted. Hope this helps!!

Yep done both. I managed to get simon deleted and have reset my UI and it worked "ok". I havent gotten round to putting my external runtimes (other stuff got in the way).....but Ill see how it goes...cheers :)

When you delete him, use Shift+Delete.  That stops Poser storing an undo point which takes forever

Ok its still hanging.

I cant delete anything. Unless i save and reboot it hangs when I delete and I have to close poser.

Any suggestions. I got hair to promote for someone and this is driving me nuts...

Make sure you have the latest Video Driver.. or try switching to SreeD Preview and see if that helps.. if it does, it is an OpenGL Issue. If the Driver does not resolve it, you may need to update some settings
